Biography

Annie  is a certified member of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed to practice speech-language pathology in the states of Louisiana and Texas. Annie received a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from The University of New Orleans (2017), a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Pathology and Audiology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (2020), and a Master of Science in Communication Disorders from Southeastern Louisiana University (2022).  Annie has practiced speech therapy in several settings including public schools, pediatric hospitals/clinics, adult/geriatric hospitals, and university clinics.  She specializes in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of a variety of communication disorders including receptive/expressive language disorders, articulation disorders, social skills, dysphagia, aphasia, and cognitive-communicative disorders. Annie enjoys collaborating with other disciplines, growing as a therapist, advocating for voice disorder prevention for professional voice users, and using her voice and platform to advocate for the needs of her students, patients, and caregivers. She was also a published poster presentation presenter at the 2021 American Speech and Hearing Association Annual Conference virtually in Washington, D.C.
