Tulane University School of Medicine
Tulane University’s School of Medicine has a long history of educating skilled and compassionate healthcare professionals committed to their communities. Founded in 1843 as The Medical College of Louisiana, Tulane’s mission was to prepare doctors to fight against yellow fever and cholera.
Today, Tulane University remains a leader in groundbreaking research as a member of the Association of American Universities, a prestigious group of research universities in the U.S. and Canada recognized for their contributions.
Tulane’s accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (aBSN) is a program in the School of Medicine, created in partnership with the School of Professional Advancement, to further Tulane’s commitment to education, innovation, and serving the community of New Orleans. To address the nursing shortage affecting not only Louisiana but the nation, Tulane’s aBSN program offers an accelerated timeline for individuals interested in pursuing a nursing career.
